Scheduling How to Schedule an Exam Appointment

When to Schedule an Exam Appointment

Candidates may not schedule their exam appointment until they have received an Authorization to Test (ATT).

Waiting to call to schedule an exam appointment may significantly limit the selection of dates from which candidates can choose to schedule. Additionally, if candidates wait until their ATT is close to expiring, test centers may not be able to seat candidates prior to its expiration. If this occurs, candidates will be required to reregister and pay another exam fee.

First-time test takers will be offered an appointment within 30 days of the request to schedule an appointment. Repeat candidates will be offered an appointment within 60 days. Candidates may decline the appointment offered and schedule later than the 30 or 60 days. If their first-choice date or time is unavailable, candidates will be offered an alternative as close to their first choice as possible.

Please Note

Due to high call center volume, it is recommended that candidates schedule their REx-PN with Pearson VUE online.

After scheduling an REx-PN appointment, an appointment confirmation from Pearson VUE will be sent to the email address provided when registering. Correspondence from Pearson VUE will only be available via email. Candidates should verify that all information is correct. If candidates don’t receive a confirmation email, they should contact Pearson VUE Candidate Services.

Missing an Exam Appointment

Failing to arrive for the exam appointment or failing to reschedule/cancel without giving the appropriate notice, will forfeit the exam fee (and scheduling fee if applicable) and the ATT will be invalidated. Candidates will be required to reregister and pay another exam fee. Failure to take the exam will be documented in the registration as a case report which will be viewable by the BCCNM/CNO.

Changing an International Exam Appointment

To change an appointment at an international test center, candidates must call Pearson VUE Candidate Services. Candidates may reschedule to another international test center without forfeiting the international scheduling fee. If candidates choose to reschedule their exam to a domestic test center, they will forfeit the international scheduling fee.

Changing from a Domestic to International Test Center

To change an appointment scheduled at a domestic center to an international test center, candidates must call Pearson VUE Candidate Services. Rescheduling an appointment at a domestic test center to an international test center will result in a non-refundable scheduling fee and any applicable value added tax.

Changing an Exam Appointment with Testing Accommodations

To change an appointment with approved for testing accommodations, call Pearson VUE Candidate Services at the number listed on the ATT and ask for the REx-PN Accommodations Coordinator.
