The Arizona Administrative Code (R4-19-204), requires program faculty together with the program administrator to set the admission and progression standards of the program. Faculty and administrators should ensure that those admitted to the program are given the essential tools in terms of teaching content and modalities to succeed in graduating on schedule and passing NCLEX on the first attempt.

Also, with legislation and healthcare policy, if we had buy-in from all of those groups, then that would help. And really what opened all of our eyes was COVID-19, during this pandemic, that these are things that we need to do in order to move with where we are now, with the population, with communities, with neighborhoods in our constituents, and making sure that the schools of nursing are aligned with that to go with what is current.

We involved removal of sub-bullets within sections five, phases one, two, and three, and that's establishment of new pre- licensure nursing education programs, section B, one through four, and C, one through five, which is continuing approval of pre-licensure nursing education programs. And also either removal or reincorporation into rules or other places for sections 12, 15 through 19, and 21 through 28.
