Next slide, please. Before we take the tour, we have two quick questions, and please use the raise your hand feature located within the Teams app. I think Maggie went over that earlier today. Everybody ready? Okay, great. So by a show of hands, how many of you visit the NLC homepage? Oh, wow. Keep them coming. Okay, great. Thank you. So second question, by a show of hands, how many of you can access the NLC homepage via nlc.gov? By a show of hands. Okay, great. Next page. Next slide. Say an RN who specializes in the treatment of children with cystic fibrosis engages in a friendship with the parent of one of her young patients. The friendship develops into a sexual relationship. Or an LPN who does home care returns to the home of a former patient ostensibly for a social visit, only to be found by a family member to be stealing the patient's opioid medication. Nurses like these know they are supposed to adhere to professional ethical principles like doing good or avoiding causing harm. Or they are supposed to demonstrate professional virtues, such as trustworthiness and honesty.

- We've been using Proctorio, added work from faculty perspective because we do require faculty to review all of the videos whether or not the program has flagged them. If we see something, we have a one-on-one with the student and we discuss anything we've seen. The CNS program, we haven't detected anything except for one student received a phone call during the visit and she immediately picked up her phone and called the faculty and she goes, "I made a mistake and I answered my phone." So they were very upfront about it. - Thank you. Our next question is specifically to Charlie but I would be interested in other's insights on this as well.

What if that hospital offered you a permanent job and you decided to stay? Well, then that changes the story, right? You become a resident of that state and you need to get a new license, new driver's license, new compact license. But, for the most part, travel nurses visit other states temporarily, okay? So, you know, I always think of the difference as when you're going to another state, are you taking a moving van, a U-Haul truck, or are you just taking a suitcase because you intend to come back and it is when you're making those permanent moves that you need to get a new license in the new state.

And we looked at a huge number of factors and variables that may be involved in that. - Do I have anybody else? You blind me with dental floss up here. Oh, hey. - [Ruth] Hello. Hi, I'm Ruth Martinez. I'm the Director of the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. And I just thought I would visit a little bit about a…intervention, I guess what we would call it. We look at complaint histories every time we get a new complaint and we look for patterns of conduct, we reopen files when we see a pattern emerging. But one of the tools that we have developed over time is use of a physician consultant to the board, who conducts what we call an educational conference.
