The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Specific award recipients include: David Benton , RGN, PhD, FRCN, FAAN, CEO, NCSBN, was awarded the prestigious Founders Award that is given only upon occasion that an individual with ethics, integrity and sincerity has demonstrated the highest regard for the ideals and beliefs upon which NCSBN was founded. I'm the director of the Nurse Licensure Compact. And thank you for joining us today. Today, our presentation is going to focus on how the Nurse Licensure Compact and multistate license works for both for service people, as well as for military spouses. And, of course, we're saying military, but when we talk about service people, we're also talking about federal nurses as well. And so let's go ahead and get started. We'll also provide you with the latest information on compact states legislation, as well as those that are going to be implementing the compact this year.
