    There are many different resources where you can keep up-to-date about Next Generation NCLEX. These can be found at ncsbn.org. There is a section that discusses the NCLEX exam. Within this section, specifically, there's information presented about NGN. This includes different FAQs for both the educator and the candidates themselves. There's also different resources such as research articles, newsletters, and presentations that you can view. The newsletters come out quarterly and discuss various different information about NGN. You can sign up for these newsletters or you can visit ncsbn.org in order to read them.

    Maple is a nurse who specializes in the treatment of children with cystic fibrosis. She engages in a friendship with the parent of one of her young patients, but the friendship develops into a sexual relationship. Then, we have Mr. Dogwood. Mr. Dogwood is an LPN who returned to the home of a former home care patient, ostensively for a social visit, only to be found by a family member to be stealing the patient's opioid pain medication. Then, there's Mr. Palm. Mr. Palm is a surgical sub-specialty nurse practitioner in the state of Oregon, who has been prescribing methylphenidate, or Ritalin, for his adolescent son.

    NCLEX items have multiple formats. Candidates can familiarize themselves with the different NCLEX item types and the computer software by taking the tutorial at https://www.nclex.com/prepare.page. There is partial credit scoring for items for which more than one key exists. There will be three methods for scoring items for partial credit: plus/minus, zero/one and rationale scoring.
