The Board discussed the nursing education approval authority of Member Boards and competency based education programs. An update was provided to the Board regarding the proposed outcome study of Excelsior graduates. G.16. Discuss NCSBN – NLCA Relationship The Board reviewed and discussed the intent and possible outcome of the May 26-27, 2009 meeting with the NLCA Executive Committee. The Board agrees that the ultimate goal is to support a unified organization and effective implementation of the two licensure models. The Board believes it is important to ensure collaboration and cooperation.
