First, evidence indicate that scope-of-practice regulation may be associated with organizational hiring practice for NPs. Rural hospitals located in states granting prescriptive authority to NPs were more likely than rural hospital in states without this authority to establish a provider-based rural health clinic designed to stimulate the use of NPs and the PAs to improve access to primary care in underserved rural areas. Community health centers and the primary care clinics were also more likely to hire and use NPs in states with full scope-of-practice regulation. Second, state scope-of-practice regulation have been shown to be associated with the role of NP in care delivery.

Then, we conducted a national Delphi of 295 experts in nursing education regulation and nurses who work with new graduates. https://www.ncsbn.org/15185.htm ©2021 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 2 Next, we conducted a quantitative study of five years of boards of nursing annual reports where 43 boards participated. Lastly, we conducted a qualitative study of five years of boards of nursing site visit reports where 31 boards of nursing provided data. Now, we didn't think we'd have that high of a response rate for the site visit study, because not all of the boards conduct site visits. So, we were very pleased with the response of the boards of nursing for both the site visit study and the annual report study.

Education Consultant Coach Guidelines
Site: ncsbn.org
Or it might be going to Member Board Profiles to see what other states are doing. Or it might be asking the issue to be presented on the next Education call. · You might decide together that it is necessary for the coach to make a site visit with the novice Education Consultant. This could either be done in the coach’s jurisdiction (being a role model) or in the jurisdiction of the new Education Consultant. There is money in the NCSBN resource fund that could finance this field trip.
