. - The one thing too that I appreciate the state of Washington did is there's a new statute, well, 2018, that all investigators are required by state law, if you're a healthcare investigator, you must go to trauma- informed investigation training and interviewing techniques. So it's actually in a statute. It's eight-hour training, and you cannot participate in those type of interviews until that training has been accomplished. - Wow. - And so I was super impressed with that. I don't know which commission was responsible for that. If it was a member of the nursing commission or one of our other boards or commissions. But there was one commission member that advocated for that vocally and very loudly at the legislature for about 10 years.

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Key points for nurses residing in Vermont: Beginning on Feb. 1, 2022, nurses residing in Vermont who currently hold a Vermont RN or LPN/VN license may be eligible for a multistate specialty license. The multistate license specialty application is now available on the Vermont Board of Nursing website. It is not necessary for Vermont residents to wait until the next renewal period to apply for the multistate license. New graduates of nursing programs who are Vermont residents may apply for licensure by exam on the Vermont Board of Nursing website and can select the multistate license option.

Once they receive their ATT, they can schedule an appointment for their exam. We advise candidates to schedule an appointment as soon as possible, as the appointments can be filled up quickly. Candidates can register for their appointment online on the Pearson VUE website, or register over the phone by calling the Pearson VUE candidate services line. The NCLEX is offered in domestic and international test centers. More information regarding these test centers can be found on the NCLEX website. If candidates need to change their scheduled appointment, they can do so online or by calling Pearson VUE at least one full business day before their exam.

As of March of this year, we have had over 284 agreed orders ratified for KSTAR, 276 of those nurses have enrolled or in the process of enrolling. And of those 276, 61 are in the process of enrolling or completing KSTAR, and we had a total of 189 nurses successfully complete KSTAR, and of those 26 nurses were referred back to the Board for unsuccessful completion, 26 of the 276. And then there have been 8 nurses of the 284 ratified orders who, for whatever reason, failed to enroll in the program as required by the order within 45 days of order ratification.
