Educators can order free brochures from this site, which can be hand- ed out to students during classes. Other organizations have resources as well. A job analysis survey of more than 2,000 entry-level RNs from more than 25 practice care settings, in which RNs provided quantitative ratings of the duties and abilities required of RNs and a follow-up nonresponder study .

And despite receiving a bunch of support, as well as a bunch of opposition that we also saw, the unions were successful in blocking the bill's progress. In fact, actually, the union opposition in the state has been blocked for the NLC for many years now, and with the main two being SEIU Local 1107, which is the largest health care and public service union in Illinois, and then NNU advocates as well. The survey also included questions about the nurses’ practice settings, past experiences and demographics. Six forms of the survey were created to reduce the number of activity statements on each survey and sent via the internet to a sample of newly licensed LPN/ VNs. Four of the survey forms contained 26 activity statements each, and two survey forms contained 25 activity statements. Except for the activity statements unique to each survey form, the surveys were identical. Survey Process Sample Selection A sample of 26,559 recipients was randomly selected from the candidates who passed the NCLEX-PN® examination from April 8, 2023, through Feb. 15, 2024.
