In contrast to the bills filed in Indiana, Wisconsin, and many other states, a California bill would make it easier to discipline a physician for spreading misinformation. This bill specifies that dissemination of COVID-19 misinformation constitutes unprofessional conduct and list factors that the medical board must consider before issuing such discipline.
