As a founding dean of the College of Health Sciences, Victoria developed an associate degree in applied science nursing to help meet the health care needs of a rural community. She also collaborated to create seamless pathways for those graduates to continue their educations. Over the past 16 years, the program has graduated more than 700 RNs. Because of demonstrated active teamwork, sincerity of purpose for the improvement of nursing regulation, passion for excellence, and significant contributions to the mission and purpose of NCSBN, Victoria is a recipient of the 2024 Exceptional Contribution Award. ♪ [music] ♪
