Safe practice includes policies and procedures for the transmission of official documents and the BON’s receipt of official documents. Staff reviewing documents and credentials must adhere to the BON’s policy and not use unapproved methods of receiving documents. For example: if only electronic verification of licensure is policy, the acceptance of paper verification is a violation of that policy and is not safe practice.
