And it was critical, we thought, to mention that it was felt there was a real need for humility as to our expectations of AI. And then there were some final discussions around effectiveness and burden reduction, and the potential benefit of any tool vis-a-vis the emotional content of fitness to practice complaints. Silvestre, MSN, RN, senior associate, Regulatory Innovations, NCSBN I n December 2019, NCSBN sought to verify the current accreditation status of nursing programs. A list of nursing programs with NCLEX program codes (N = 4,127) was obtained from the NCSBN exams department. The accreditation status of each program was initially verified using the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) websites. Then, the remaining list of programs not found on the accrediting agencies’ websites was sent to the executive directors at ACEN, CCNE and CNEA to confirm the accreditation status.

So when given a choice, many times nurses said, "Just discipline me. I'll be in the alternative program for five years. I'll be in the discipline program for three years. You know, the alternative program has all these requirements for me. The discipline program, I just need to go get tested and, you know, whatever." So that's something we need to look at also.
