    Page 1 of 2 post-board meeting update July 19, 2024 Dear Members: The Board of Directors (BOD) met July 9–10 in Chicago, cognizant of the fact that this will be the last time this year that the current board members will convene for a board meeting. This is also the last board meeting for me after four years of having the honor and privilege to serve as president of the BOD for this incredible organization. How these past four years have flown. The BOD and the membership have certainly experienced unexpected challenges and opportunities in nursing regulation.

Where is Nursys®® data stored and maintained? NCSBN is responsible for implementing physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to prevent unauthorized access to confidential information. Nursys has implemented secure transmissions for submission of licensure data, secure access to the database by member boards and secure housing of the database with appropriate infrastructure security measures.

All rights reserved. 3 We'll begin working through the Model rules once we do that. We will be preparing documents and analysis for review by the board for review by the board of directors in February of 2020. And we'll be presenting that work to the membership next year, is our plan. And so as I thank you and offer up time for questions, I'd also invite you to share with us any ideas that you have about what you would like to see in the Model Act and roles, tweaks and changes that you think are important for us to consider.
