The committee edited and amended several of the drafted questions for the LSC and BOD interviews. The committee also requested that an estimation of additional dates to commit to be noted for President-elect and Treasurer candidates. LSC Policy 1.0 Review Staff led a review of the LSC’s policy and procedures. Staff reminded the committee that the BOD has convened the Governance & Bylaws Review Committee for this fiscal year and they will meet for the first time in March to examine the functions of the LSC.

So in the NLC, there's a section that references closed sessions for discussing noncompliance and information related to reports prepared by or on behalf of the commission for the purpose of investigating compliance with the compact. So certainly, there's authority for the commission to designate somebody to look into compliance.

The BOD determines which special committees are needed to fulfill the work of the organization on an annual basis and articulates a clear strategic charge to the committee including rationale for the charge. b. The BOD supports and assists all standing committees and may add additional charges to the committee not otherwise specified in the bylaws. 2.2 Appointment of Committee Members a. The BOD shall appoint chairs and participants to special and standing committees from the membership providing for expertise needed for fulfillment of the specific charge.
