Jackson is a seasoned clinical nurse in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Medical Center and immediate past president of the California Board of Registered Nursing. He and his wife Arlene, an intensive care unit nurse, have volunteered as vaccinators through a partnership between UCSD Medical Center and San Diego County. Jackson is no stranger to service. Over the years, he has volunteered professionally and in his community. So there was a huge dip in the middle, but it is coming up again. But what is remarkable, and you have probably heard about it, is that overall, employment in the agriculture sector actually fell by 22% across OECD, and in the industrial sector, dropped by some 6%, 7%. Meanwhile, it's the service sector that is growing, and among the service sector, it is the health and social sector that grew some 42% in this period. So you can see how much of an important part of the overall macroeconomic growth that health and social sectors represent.
