    Additionally, this recommendation is consistent with the NCSBN policy po- sition on international nurse immigration, which states that “domestic and international nurses need to [be] proficient in written and spoken English skills” (NCSBN, 2003, as cited in Woo, Dickison & de Jong, 2010).     Candidates must register for the NCC exam and provide the required documents to be deemed eligible. If eligible NCC will inform the appropriate state board. NCC will send eligibility letters to BONs in states with emergency certification waivers. PNCB Prometric Contact Us CPNP-PC CPNP-AC PNCB has a 4-month recertification period that ended Feb. 29, 2020. This has not changed due to the pandemic. If the candidate has a complete application, which includes a final transcript with all grades and the degree, PNCB is holding their eligibility notification until testing centers open.

Leader to Leader spoke with Eileen Fry-Bowers about her time spent this summer in the Scholar in Residence position. Eileen Fry-Bowers, PhD, JD, RN, CPNP-PC, is an associate professor at the University of San Diego who teaches graduate health policy and research methods courses. Building on her knowledge base of policy and legal issues, Dr. Fry-Bowers took the Scholar in Residence position because she was interested in integrating nursing regulation and related policy issues into her teaching.
