ORBS is a private and secure cloud-based system. NCSBN absorbs the cost for licensing, hosted infrastructure, professional services for deployment, maintenance, upgrades and ongoing support. Among its many advantages, ORBS digitizes paper processes, reduces the manual input of data, and provides com- prehensive system disaster recovery implementation. Unlike Nursys, which has its own brand, the ORBS “brand” is an internal one, only really known to NCSBN and NRBs. Visit the website of an NRB using ORBS and you will see that NRB’s branding on the different modules.

Once you do it a couple of times, you'll definitely get the hang of it. You probably won't even need to look anymore. Particularly with no canceled transactions with Omnicell, I think there's like 35 or 40 different subtypes of no transactions, some of which mean that, you know, they tried to open the bin but it didn't actually open, and I really don't care about that. I only care if they try to open the bin and it did open. Right? So if I'm looking at cancelled, I want to see that they actually opened it. So just be aware of that. Again, I would ask for the report abbreviation key.

We need to make sure that we tell patients that, if there are, and get their permission, because they may not be able to see everyone that's in the room with us. Another issue that comes up sometimes, and I can tell you this really does happen, is that you'll connect for a visit and find that the patient is in a public place. Maybe they're in a grocery store or a restaurant. Maybe that's the only place they could access Wi-Fi to have the telehealth visit. So we need to make sure to inform them of risks associated with using public Wi-Fi.
