North Carolina Licensed out-of-state nurses who would like to volunteer to help North Carolina disaster victims can find information on how to help on the North Carolina Board of Nursing's website . Nurses holding an active, unrestricted single-state license in any jurisdiction can practice in North Carolina by applying for a free, temporary emergency license. Waivers for LPNs, RNs, Nurse Practitioners and Certified Nurse Midwives have been implemented.
