    Results Calibration Accuracy and Bias Table 1 shows the average calibration accuracy and bias for all calibration sample conditions (400, 500, and Variable), correlation levels (.00, .40, .60, and .80), with and without the use of provisional calibrations (PC and NP). Several trends may be noted. First, as expected, the level of the correlation of the provisional calibrations with true item difficulties has no noticeable impact on the accuracy of calibrations obtained not using the provisional calibrations (the NP column).
