It's a lot of change to address, but as the famed historian Henry Steele Commager put so well over a century ago, "Change does not necessarily assure progress, but progress implacably requires change." I hope you'll make the changes you need to make to ensure that you and your organizations continue to survive, thrive, and succeed in the very exciting years we have left ahead.

Are you paying attention to what they're saying or are you paying attention to how they're moving or are you trying to do both at the same time? All right, we only got one more. Who we got? One more. Didn't you already get a pen? - I won't take a pen. - Okay, give me another one then. Two for one over here. This is awesome. - Too many gaps. Over here. - They can't seem to recall anything [inaudible 00:05:29]. [00:05:30] - Yeah, right?

So with the normal amount of time for the exam being 5 hours, doubling that makes 10. So we do split those into two equal five-hour chunks over two days. So that is automatically set over two days. There is still some backend work between NCSB and Pearson VUE to ensure everything goes smoothly at the test center. But those… So, yes, it does automatically happen over two days. - Fantastic.

So Pearson VUE provided personnel reader or recorder for candidates, they do require separate room because any interaction with the system personnel requires a separate room not to distract any other testing candidate. And as I mentioned, some other examples of accommodation request can be that larger font on the computer screen or adjustable contrast for the luminosity. And just to give you some reference, Hong mentioned there's over 300,000 candidates that take the NCLEX a year. Over the 2018 calendar year, it was 313,361 exams delivered and of that, 2,200 candidates tested with accommodations and we process about 4,400 candidate requests, some have a couple accommodations. ©2019 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc.

As you can see, the AUC is good and just a bit below the 0.8 excellent threshold. This suggests an accurate and predictive reference point for our case to investigator ratio metric. Further, we noted a strong positive predictive value indicating investigator caseload's over 38 correctly identified 81% of the cases that would ultimately run over the median close your time. It does a fairly good job discriminating as well as it also accurately identify 69% of the cases that close more efficiently. And finally, we followed a similar strategy to further investigate the number of steps involved in the case management.

Luckily in Texas, we do have a statute that provides for the Board to be able to adopt rules regarding pilot programs for innovative applications in nursing regulation. So over many years and months, the Board staff have been meeting with the staff of the Texas A&M Rural and Community Health Institute and the College of Nursing and, over many discussions, really developed a shared vision to start a new project looking at remediating nurses with an individualized approach.
