For example, "A nurse must do X because of Y and Z," or, "A client has X as evidenced by Y and Z." Triads are worth two points and there are two ways candidates can earn partial credit: either when the first and second elements are correct, or when the first and third elements are correct. Notice in both cases that the first element must be correct.

This rule applies when items evaluate closely related information, where understanding both components of a pair is essential to demonstrate comprehension. The paired informations typically connects through a rationale, hence the name of the scoring rule. There are two main structures for the rationale items. First, the dyad rationale expresses a simple association between X and Y. For example, a nurse must do X because of Y, or a client has X as evidenced by Y. Dyads are worth 1 point, earned only when both elements are correct. Second, the triad rationale includes an additional justification element. For example, a nurse must do X because of Y and Z, or a client has X, as evidenced by Y and Z.

And we have to make sure that the strategies and tactics that we identify are able to address the complexity of that crisis. So we thought that it would be helpful in terms of the context, and particularly for you as an audience that includes regulators to think about the facets of our understanding of what would be an ideal.

This was years before where he is at right now. So I want to run through the information from the Carnegie study, and Dan mentioned this yesterday too. You know that the Carnegie Institute for Teaching Excellence did a study, some years ago, about the professions and they looked at law, clerg,y medicine, engineering, and nursing. This is a fluke and this is really a game changer for nursing, I got to tell you. Because law, medicine, and clergy are the old guard 12th-century group of professions. Engineering was added, isn't this curious? Because they are the keepers of the earth.
