I think we can say that this was managed probably incorrectly from the very beginning, right? So there's a lot of people at fault. Ultimately it was her fault for taking the pills. So Dr. Gabor Mattei who is a addictionologist in Vancouver, has treated more heroin addicts than anybody else in the Western Hemisphere, he coins it like this, "Although the initial act of ©2018 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 13 ingestion is voluntary, cessation of the addiction is not." Is that something we could buy into? So we don't have to split hairs on is this a disease or is this a choice?

After looking at every item in 2010 and 2012, two items showed a significant increase in the number of flagged resid- uals. Figure 7 shows one of the two potentially compromised items that the study discovered. For this item, there were 34 flagged response times, 26 of which (76.5%) were correct. According to Wise and Kong (2005), the accuracy of the rapid- guessing responses should not exceed the level of chance, as this clearly does. The results indicate that the item may have been compromised. An additional examination of the item’s content reveals a long stem with a memorable story, which might add to the ease of knowledge transfer between exami- nees.

And this might be a technical question. We're an umbrella board and currently, our licensing system has all of 37 health-related boards licensees within that. So is the carve- out for nursing...I know that your IT systems work really well and wonderful customer service. But I just didn't know if any other boards who are umbrella boards have had to carve that out for nursing as opposed to all the other licensees. - I'm going to say that we only support the nurse licensing, license types so that would be really up to the board on how they would be able to handle that.

. - And done well, I think this process can also help to identify internal efficiencies, not everything has to be about a direct relationship. By going through this, it's a way of matching our internal processes to what our customers are actually doing. - [Woman 3] So you were talking about call centers, and customer service, trying to get experienced people

One other thing about nursys.com. So, this is a screenshot of the home page. In the middle is where you're going to go to look up a license called Quick Confirm. But on the left where the arrow is pointing is called E-Notify. And E-Notify is a free service where any nurse can enroll themselves and it gives you reminders of when your licenses are going to expire in advance. But it also in the event that you forgot to renew it, it also is going to send you a notification to let you know that your license has expired.

They found, first, unprofessional conduct for failing to exercise independent judgment. And that exercise would've been in basically, you know, objecting or refusing to go and retrieve the pills. So put yourself in that situation. You are a nurse, you have a pharmacist, on-site pharmacist, you have the facility medical director, and another doctor who all examined the pills and said, "Yeah, they're fine," you know. So it's kind of like, well, what would you do in that situation? And the court also found that it was unethical conduct for the nurses failing to conform to the professional standards of nursing by returning the pills to the container.

So that will continue to happen. We are trying to plan an ability to bring other people on to give those presentations. So we're working on Scholar Speakers Bureau. The other thing that we're doing is... and I would say, tell your educators to go to our site, click on NCLEX. When they go to NCLEX, there's a whole section on the NGN and we've started doing streaming videos. Jan, you're going to have to help me with this. Once a quarter... What are we doing those? Once a quarter, we're doing streaming videos to keep everybody up to speed.

We then limited our collection on student outcomes associated with learning, engagement, clinical preparedness, practice proficiency, etc., to the externally validated instruments. As some of you know in this room, collection within an end-of-program standardized test scores was then facilitated through direct coordination with individual research site coordinators. So, these folks were often the faculty or the administrators who volunteered, think about that, volunteered in fall 2020 to serve as their primary point of contact for their program throughout the duration of their participation in this study.
