    However, it also is a challenge at some points, too, since we do have to follow along with all of their policies and procedures, and also the ability to acquire new hardware and software was not as easily as we had hoped it would be, because it had to be approved through the department, not just through our commission. So, like I said, new technology was difficult to get approved, the support of the IT service desk and staff was, for the most part, very good. However, they got overwhelmed during the pandemic as well with all the different needs of them also being able to work and support a remote staff as well.     MARTTI provides 24 hour a day, 365 days per year access to interpreters for over 150 languages including American Sign Language (ASL). MARTTI allows healthcare providers to use a small screen for face-to-face communication or a wide 19 inch screen for emergency situations. A document translation service allows patients to discuss forms in their native language and in a transparent environment. Interpreters employed by LAN take education programs that focus on various healthcare related topics including hospice, medical terminology and sexual health.
