    And what that rule means is that after the minimum-length exam, we take every one of your responses to the items, and we score those using the partial credit model. Today, we use the Rasch model. The partial credit model is just an extension of that to use for polytomous items, but it's the same idea. And what we do is we make an estimate of the ability estimate of the individual at that point in time. Plus, then we get an error bar that we evaluate around that. How reliable is that ability estimate? And then what we do is we basically say, we say, with 95% confidence, can we say with 95% confidence that you're either a pass individual or a fail individual?
