It is also noteworthy that the number reporting caring for clients with behavior/emotional conditions nearly doubled from 1999 (Hertz et al., 2000) to the present study (12.6% in 1999 to 23.2% in 2002). The majority of respondents reported caring for adult clients aged 31 to 64 (62.6%), elderly clients aged 65 to 85 (58.8%), young adult clients aged 19 to 30 (22.6%) and elderly clients over the age of 85 (22.6%), as shown in Figure 7. These numbers were comparable to those reported in 1999 (Hertz et al., 2000). SShhiiffttss WWoorrkkeedd The shifts most commonly worked continued to be days (38.6%) and nights (38%). From the survey sent to education consultants, they are struggling with out-of-state programs using their clinical sites with little oversight of their students and often not even informing the BON that they are in their state. Therefore, this very limited approval process was developed so as not to overwhelm BONs but also to give them control over out-of-state programs using their clinical sites. 97. Original: a.2.v. Clinical experiences shall be supervised and occur directly with patients. Clinical experiences and simulation shall include a variety of clinical settings and are sufficient for meeting program outcomes.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issues ITINs to individuals required to file an income tax return but who are not eligible for an SSN. The ITIN is a nine-digit number, similar in format to an SSN, but beginning with the number nine (9XX- XX-XXXX). To acquire an ITIN, immigrant workers need to complete the IRS Revised Form W-7, which is available online at www.irs.gov. Documents that prove identity and foreign status such as passports, driver’s licenses and birth certificates must be provided. ITINs are for federal income tax purposes only, and are not valid for employment purposes.

The purpose of the licensing examination is to determine if a candidate possesses the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to provide safe and effective nursing care at the entry level. On April 1, 1994, the National Council implemented the use of the NCLEX® examination via computerized adaptive testing (CAT) for the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN examinations. CAT administration offers several advantages over the traditional paper and pencil testing. These advantages include: greater measurement efficiency of a candidate's competence level, shorter testing time, year-round continuous testing, and a less stressful environment. Computerized adaptive testing (CAT) is a method for administering examinations which uses current computer technology and measurement theory.
