Practice changes, it develops, it's ongoing. And so, you never want to stifle innovation or new ideas. Now, we may certainly, as licensing boards, discipline when someone steps outside their lane, but we don't per se regulate and say that you can or can't provide this service. Competencies are acquired by education or experience. They're assessed through professional credentialing mechanisms, i.e. portfolio or examinations. Scope, practice, and education standards are established by the specialty practice association.

Because for some odd reason, this country decided to place healthcare in the market economy early on. I don't know who made that decision. It was never something that resonated with me. Why not have made health- care somewhat like a utility? Power, water, gas. Does that make sense? Then we would all pay a premium that was not too harsh for anybody, but everybody would have the care needed. We could do it. We could still do it. And maybe this organization will spearhead that organization. I don't know. Just throwing it out there. I won't be around to do it.
