And we really want to thank the FSMB for partnering with the Lorna Breen Foundation, which is doing some amazing work in this space right now to track the progress. So, we're hoping that the same can be done for nursing and pharmacy. So, what we found, or what they found, is that 21 boards asked no questions about mental illness, which is the preference of the ADA. About 26 boards directly asked questions that seemed to be questionable or in direct violation of ADA standards. If you haven't read this paper yet, I highly recommend it, published in Nursing Outlook very recently. Judy was one of the primary contributors.

Under her leadership, the state also implemented the Nurse Licensure Compact. Jay has been an advocate for improving all aspects of nursing regulation, and in 2023 received the Champion of Nursing Award from the Virginia Nurses Foundation. She has also been significantly involved in NCSBN through service on committees, the Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators, and the Board of Directors. As NCSBN Board President, Jay skillfully navigated the organization through the challenges of a global pandemic. She has also consistently encouraged her staff and board members to participate in NCSBN committees, events and meetings.
